Science Fair Tomorrow Night

Spring Brook’s Annual Science Fair General Info

Date: Wednesday Oct 24th, 2018

Time: 5:30-8:00pm

Check-in for participants @ 5:30PM (Use Door No.2)

Location: Gym & Multipurpose Room (all projects with any type of liquid will be placed in MPR)

All participants set up must be ready by 5:50pm.

Science fair opens for all non-participants/visitors @6:00PM

You can visit/review any or all projects once your review is done by your judge. Judges will reach out each participant during the given time slots. We would advise parents to stay with your child by his/her project around that time. Please remain on your table from 6 to 7 pm. Parents will be responsible to stay with their child during the entire duration of the event. NO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS WILL BE ALLOWED.

K-1st grade: 6:00-7:00 PM (It may extend)

2nd-3rd grade: 6:00-7:00PM (It may extend)

4th-5th Grades: 6:00-7:00PM (It may extend)

6:00-6:15PM: Presentation by Anil Mane from Argonne National Laboratory

6:00-7:50PM: Return your peer review sheets at Selfie Booth, receive small prize and take selfie with Science props

7:00-7:50PM: Slides to look through microscopes (location: on stage) arranged by Adrianne Toomey!

7:50-8:00PM: Thank you speech. After that students will start cleaning up their tables. Please take all the materials including tri-folds home with you.

Each participant (displaying his/her project) of the science fair will be rewarded with a gift and certificate for their participation. Please don't forget to collect at the end of the event in case a volunteer couldn't deliver it to you at your table. There will be Peer Review sheets available at check-in desk for all students including the participants and non-participants/visitors(Spring Brook students) to fill out which they will have to return it to Selfie booth. Students who will fill out the review sheet and return, will be eligible for the small prize and can take their selfies with science props.
