Hello Spring Brook Parents –
SAFETY WEEK
Safety Week will take place the week of April 15 and April 22. During this week, we will teach safety lessons to students. The following safety skills will be presented in age appropriate ways: listen to an adult, be alert, situational awareness, moving with a purpose, exit awareness and rally points. These lessons are designed to cover the basic components of school safety without creating anxiety or worry in students.
We look forward to an engaging week with our students. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school safe.
Be Internet Awesome Workshop
Raising children in a digital world is challenging, but together we can Be Internet Awesome! Bring your families and join us at Spring Brook for an interactive online safety workshop on Wednesday, May 1st from 6:00-7:30, made possible by the PTA Connected with Google Be Internet Awesome Family Workshop Grant. Through discussion and activities we will learn how to be smart, kind, and brave online, and set goals as a family for intentional device usage. Parents will walk away with answers to questions about online safety, and information to help continue safe practices at home.
The first 50 families to check in at the door will receive a gift bag that includes Google’s Be Internet Awesome family guide. Light refreshments will be served, and there will be great giveaways including a grand prize Google Pixelbook! This event is free and open to all Spring Brook families.
* We only need a handful of volunteers to make this event successful! Please sign up to help at https://signup.com/go/ZkdLLvS. Most of the openings allow you to fully participate in the workshop too. *
