Hello Spring Brook Parents –

PTA Membership Drive Begins This Week

Invest in Spring Brook's future by becoming a PTA member! Membership makes a difference to our school, and last year 62% of Spring Brook families joined PTA. Together we can do even more this year! Registration is now digital so it's easier than ever to show your support. Just visit our online store at http://springbrook.memberhub.store by September 27th to join.

PTA Meeting

Our first PTA meeting of the school year is on Thursday, August 29 at 9:30am in the lunch room.

We will be kicking off the new school year and discussing the upcoming Charleston Wrap Campaign and Science Fair/STEM Night.

We hope you can join us and, as always, children are welcome.

LMC Volunteers – 2019-20 School Year

Hello Spring Brook Families!

We are looking for two additional LMC (Library Media Center) volunteers.

The open shifts are for every other week:

Tuesday afternoon shift: 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During shifts, volunteers check-in books, interact with students that visit the LMC (assist kids with picking out / finding appropriate books), help check-out materials, assist in the MakerSpace, shelve books, and help with special projects. It is a fun way to become involved at Spring Brook and meet teachers, students, and Spring Brook families!

If you are interested in any of these positions, please email me at lrodriguez1122@gmail.com

Spirit Wear

The online Husky spirit wear store is open! Students are encouraged to show their Husky pride on assembly days, field trips, and other spirit days throughout the year. Orders can be placed at napervillespiritwear.com and will be delivered to your child's classroom.

Save the Date:-Spring Brook’s Annual “Science Fair” and "STEM Workshop"

Date: Thursday September 26th, 2019

Time: 5:30-8:00 PM

All Spring Brook students are invited to participate in the Science fair and STEM workshop.

Details will be emailed and flyers will be coming home soon.

Spring Brook’s Birthday Book Club

How it works:

* Enroll your child

* During the month of your child's birthday, we will call him/her down to the LMC at the start of the school day to choose a book from our Birthday Book Cart.

* Your child poses for a picture with that book.

* We print the picture on a bookplate and put it in the inside cover of the book.

* Your child will be the first one to check out the book from the LMC.
