Science Fair/STEM Workshop 2019
This year Spring Brook PTA is bringing STEM WORKSHOP along with our annual SCIENCE FAIR. All Spring Brook students and their parents are invited to participate on Thursday Sept 26th, 2019. Please find attached copy of a flyer(for further details) which went home yesterday.
Science Fair event is limited to the first 100 projects and STEM workshop is limited to the first 200 students. Student can participate in Science Fair and STEM workshop or only Science Fair or only STEM workshop. Individual Link to pre-register for Science Fair and STEM workshop are as follows. To participate in one or both event each student needs to register it separately.
PLEASE SUBMIT ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PARTICIPANT IF THEY ARE DOING INDIVIDUAL SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT.
IF THEY'RE PARTICIPATING IN GROUP THEN THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE ENTRY PER GROUP/PROJECT WHERE YOU SHOULD LIST ALL PARTICIPANTS NAMES IN THE SAME FORM.
FOR STEM WORKSHOP EACH CHILD NEEDS TO BE REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY.

In preparation for the Science fair, each student or group of students from grades K - 5 can develop a project with the help of their parents to present at the fair. Projects involving any fire/hazardous/flammable materials are not allowed. Science Fair will be NON-COMPETITIVE. The primary goal of this fun event is to develop a positive attitude towards Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, (STEM). Students must pre-register to participate in Science Fair.
For STEM workshop, scientists from HIGH TOUCH HIGH TECH will be bringing 4 hands on STEM experiments(4 stations) where students will have an opportunity to do experiments on their own(materials will be provided). They will have a mini take home experiment that they created and explored with. Students must pre-register to participate in STEM workshop separately.

5:30pm Check- In for Science Fair and STEM workshop participants
5:45 pm Public Welcome
Judges will review your project between 5:45pm-6:30pm(Science Fair Participants must remain present by their projects.
STEM workshop 6:30-7:50pm.
8:00 pm Fair Ends, Remove Exhibits/projects and cleanup.
· All student participants(Science Fair) must arrive and set up their exhibits/projects before the fair is open to the public. At the end of the event students will be responsible to remove their exhibits/projects and clean up their areas.
· All student participants must remain present at their exhibit during the time specified above.
· Students can review up to three projects and submit it back at the registration desk during the science fair to earn a prize. (Review sheet will be available at the registration desk.)
· Parents of participating students must supervise their students at all times during the fair.
