Hello Spring Brook Parents –

Pajama Day this Friday, December 20

Thank you for your feedback for the 5Essentials Survey. Since we have received 25% parent feedback, the students will have a Pajama Day this Friday, December 20th.

Music Sharing Days

Music Sharing Days happen this week in music class. Every student is encouraged to participate, and it can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. There are many ways for a student to participate should they want to, such as:

Play a piano piece from your piano book
Play an instrument from home
Show-and-tell with an instrument you bring
Sing a song, by yourself or in a group— option to bring music to sing with or access it online
Share a song that you bring or access online, and share a few facts about it
Dance to music (from dance class or made-up choreography)
Bring a recital DVD, or share a video file with Mr. Duym on Google Drive of anything musical (
Draw something musical, make an instrument, or make something musical on your Chromebook
Make a group or single-student presentation or something creative not listed above to share

Toy Drive

The Community Service Committee will be holding a toy drive to benefit the Bike Bald Organization. Their mission is to enrich the lives of children affected by cancer and rare illnesses. All new/unused toys can be donated from December 9th though December 19th. They are in need of gifts for all ages. Gift cards are also welcome. PTA Nominating Committee

Spring Brook PTA is looking for volunteers to serve on the Nominating Committee from January-March. The Nominating Committee will identify candidates for the PTA Executive Board for the 2020-2021 school year. If you are a PTA member and interested in serving on this committee, please contact Kathy Dunn ( for more information by January 7th.
