Weekly Message - February 2, 2020
Hello Spring Brook Parents –
Cold and flu season is here!
In an effort to promote a complete and quick recovery and prevent the spreading of illness to other students and staff, please follow these guidelines when your student is ill:
Please keep your student home when:
Temperature greater than or equal to 100°F. (Student may return to school after his/her temperature has returned to normal for 24 hours without the use of medication to control it.)
Vomiting: student may return after 24 hours without vomiting and successfully taking food again.
Diarrhea: student may return after solid bowel movement or 24 hours of no diarrhea.
Any rash should be diagnosed by a physician with note of release to return to school.
When a student is absent with illness for 5 or more consecutive days, a doctor’s note of release is requested.
Parents & guardians know their children best and we appreciate working with you to follow these guidelines. With your continued diligence and cooperation, we can keep our students healthy, learning, and striving for their best. If you have any questions, please contact the Spring Brook Health Office at 630-428-6621.
Please join us for our annual Open House on Thursday, February 6th from 6:00-7:00 PM. Let your child guide you through a tour of the building, enjoy the fabulous displays and projects and visit your child’s classroom. We look forward to seeing you!
