Hello Spring Brook Parents -

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences are on Thursday, November 18th and Monday, November 22nd. All conferences on Thursday, November 18th will be in-person and will be from 4:30-8:00 PM. All Conferences on Monday, November 22nd will be virtual via Zoom and will be from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 4:40 PM - 8:00 PM.

In the Fall, we would like every parent to meet with their homeroom teacher. Specialists who work with your child can be invited to the homeroom conference as needed. If you have a need to meet with a P.E., Art, Music teacher, or other specialists, please email them directly.

Parents may sign up for a conference until November 16 at 6 PM through ParentVUE. Directions for signing up for conferences can be found by CLICKING HERE.

Ahoy Mates! Our "Bookaneer" Pirate Book Fair is coming…

Check with your child's teacher if your child's book fair purchase time is Nov. 17 or Nov. 18. We encourage you to set up eWallet for your child.

Family/Parent Shop Times:

Thursday, November 18

11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Parents only Shopping

4:30-7:00 PM Parent/Family Shopping

The evening time is for parents/family shopping, but students cannot be unattended. If childcare is an issue during a conference, we'll ask the student to wait outside the classroom. The child can return to the book fair with their parent(s) after the conference.

One Can! Two Cans! Who Can? YOU CAN!!! Food Drive

The Spring Brook PTA is organizing a food drive to support our community’s families-in-need through the Aurora Food Pantry. The drive will run from Monday, November 15th through Tuesday, November 30. Non-perishable food items can be sent with students and placed in the collection boxes located inside the front entrance of the school. Please make sure your student places their food items in the correct box for their grade. Parents can also drop off food items on Thursday, November 18th during the Book Fair and Parent Teacher Conferences. The grade that brings in the most food items/baby products will win a Popcorn and Pajamas Party!! Please see attachment for Aurora Food Pantry’s wish list.

Gifts of Gratitude

The Indian Prairie Educational Foundation (IPEF) is offering the opportunity to honor a special IPSD 204 teacher or staff member through their ‘Gifts of Gratitude’ program. Share your appreciation by making a tax-deductible donation to IPEF on behalf of your honoree through December 10th. Your honoree receives a personalized certificate prior to the holiday break to commemorate your gratitude and their name is displayed on the IPEF website’s ‘Wall of Gratitude’ that recognizes outstanding educators.

Your tax-deductible Gifts of Gratitude donation supports IPEF’s Teacher Innovation Grants program. Gifts of any size are meaningful, welcome and discreet – donation amounts are not disclosed to the honoree.
