Administration & Office Staff

Student Services Coordinator Vicki Lilas and Principal David Worst
Welcome to Spring Brook Elementary School! It is the goal of the staff to form partnerships with you on behalf of your children. Parental involvement in school is the best indicator of a student’s success. When home, school, and the community all work together, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
For those of you who can volunteer to help us in some way, either directly in the classrooms, LMC, or through the PTA, we will be grateful for your assistance. For those whose schedules do not permit you to volunteer your time, please take the time to review your child’s day and homework. This tells your child that their learning is important to you.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us at 630-428-6600 or through the e-mail addresses found on this website. Please be a regular visitor to our website!

Principal Dave Worst
Hello Spring Brook Families,
My name is Dave Worst, and it is my privilege to serve at Spring Brook Elementary School where I am beginning my 16th year as principal. I have been in education since 1993 and have been a teacher at both elementary and middle school levels, an assistant principal at Hill Middle School, and the principal of Gombert Elementary School prior to coming to Spring Brook. I enjoy spending time with my family, being a grandpa, reading, and playing pickleball.
Spring Brook is a wonderful school because the teachers, staff, and parents work together for the betterment of every student! Thank you for entrusting your child(ren) to us, and I look forward to an amazing school year!
And as I tell the students everyday, “Remember to have fun, work hard, and be kind”.

Laura Waldinger, Health/Office Assistant
My time at Spring Brook began 23 years ago when my oldest child began Kindergarten. As my four kids moved through the school, I gained an appreciation for the teachers and all they do for the kids to help them grow. When my youngest was in 5th grade and I had more time, I reached out to see if there were any openings. I took a part time spot in the lunchroom. Since then, I have been a crossing guard, a teaching assistant and now the health/office asst. I enjoy seeing your kids each day and helping them where I can. In my free time, I enjoy being outside, taking long walks, browsing stores, trying out different coffee shops and spending time with my family.
