November A+ Award: Mrs. Rosenberg, Spring Brook Elementary

November A+ Award: Mrs. Rosenberg, Spring Brook Elementary

The Indian Prairie Educational Foundation (IPEF) and District 204 proudly honor Jessica Rosenberg, a 3rd grade teacher at Spring Brook Elementary, with the November A+ Award. Watch the A+ Award video to see the team’s surprise visit to recognize Mrs. Rosenberg for “Making a Difference in District 204”.

Mrs. Rosenberg was nominated for the A+ Award by current Spring Brook parent Mustafa Isik on behalf of his son. In his essay, Mr. Isik describes the patient way that she has been teaching and supporting his son as he adjusts to his new life in the U.S.

Mr. Isik wrote that from the first day of school, Mrs. Rosenberg went the extra mile to improve his son’s school success, social skills, and his sense of belonging at Spring Brook. He admired Mrs. Rosenberg’s ability to get to know her students so quickly and the way that she communicates with parents to make learning a team effort. Mr. Isik also praised the genuine enthusiasm that Mrs. Rosenberg brings to her teaching every day and hopes that she will be a role model for young teachers everywhere.

Thank you to A+ Award sponsor Western Governors University who once again is partnering with IPEF and District 204 to help recognize one staff member each month for making a difference for students. To celebrate these outstanding staff members, Western Governors University is generously donating $1,000 for each month’s winner to use in his or her school.
